Peace activist strives for integrity in his life and witness

Jake Buhler is a man with a different pair of glasses. They reflect a steely determination to pursue peace and help others do the same. "Peace is the lens through which we see everything" he says.

With that lens, he notices things that others may not. It colours his whole worldview, helping him see the world with different eyes. By nature a quiet man, Buhler looks for opportunities at every turn and on every level to live out his convictions as a peace activist. "Being a peace witness is all-inclusive, it isn't just one thing," he says.

David Ortiz sat in front of his locker, his ailing left wrist heavily bandaged. Ortiz wasn't in the starting lineup for the Boston Red Sox on Sunday, and the designated hitter could only hope his injury was a minor setback.

Ortiz sprained his left wrist Saturday night while swinging at a pitch in Boston's 6-3 win over Baltimore. He left for a pinch hitter with the count full.

"It feels the same," Ortiz said Sunday morning. "We'll see what the doctors say. I got to get an MRI."

Stolen sarcophagus returns to Egypt from US

A 3,000-year-old wooden sarcophagus confiscated at the Miami airport was returned to Egypt Saturday, as the antiquities chief pressed forward with his campaign to recover Egypt's stolen heritage.

The brightly painted sarcophagus dates back to the 21st Dynasty (1070-945 B.C.) and belonged to a noble called Imesy, a Culture Ministry statement said.

Customs officials at Miami International Airport seized the coffin in October 2008 from a shipment coming from Spain after the importer could not present proper documentation to prove ownership.
